Louis Vuitton’s Silent Stand
Deeply honored. That’s the feeling. Seeing my Still Stand sculpture take its place in Louis Vuitton’s temporary flagship at 6 East 57th Street, NYC is a moment I won’t forget.
Designed by Shohei Shigematsu of OMA, this space isn’t just a store—it’s an experience. A place where fashion, art, and design don’t just coexist; they converse.
To share this setting with design legends like Carlo Mollino, Charlotte Perriand, Christophe Delcourt, and Pierre Augustin Rose—whose furniture shapes the ambiance—is truly humbling.
Still Stand was created for this space. Its form carries a sense of quiet masculinity—strength without excess, presence without noise. A balance of power and grace, designed to echo the sophistication of modern artistry.
But this isn’t just about sculpture in retail. It’s about retail as an evolving, immersive art form—a space that engages, inspires, and challenges the way we experience design.
I’m grateful to Louis Vuitton for embracing this vision, for seeing retail as more than commerce, and for creating a platform where contemporary artistry can thrive within their iconic legacy.
