Emergente ZONA MACO Diseño
After the success achieved in previous editions, ZⓢONAMACO 2023, the most important contemporary art and design fair in Latin America, presented the third edition of Emergente, an initiative of ZⓢONAMACO DISEÑO during its nineteenth edition at the Centro Citibanamex in Mexico City.
The idea of creating a platform to show original and fresh creations of young talent emerged from the curatorial team made up of Cecilia León de la Barra - director of ZⓢONAMACO DISEÑO - and industrial designers Joel Escalona and Jorge Diego Etienne.
Today, Emergente has consolidated itself as one of the most important platforms at a national and international level, showing the talent of young designers living anywhere in Mexico to promote their latest production and provide commercial and job opportunities in the world of art and design.
In previous editions, young people from Irapuato, Hermosillo, Guanajuato and Monterrey, among others, participated, showing furniture, lighting and accessories projects. This third edition called for original projects worthy of being exhibited in the ZⓢONAMACO DISEÑO section, following a curatorial line that bets on high-quality conceptual and discursive projects from young designers from all over Mexico.
