Santos chair and the Pogo Stool will be part of the exhibition Silla Mexicana: Diseño e Indentidad. This exhibition, which is part of the celebrations for the 30th anniversary of the Museo Franz Mayer, review the act of sitting through a selection of different types of chairs and seats that have been used in Mexico, from the colonial era to the present. From folk art pieces, to New Spain and European manufactures, to contemporary creations of architects and designers who have become collector's items.
The Museo Franz Mayer Collection includes a variety of chairs and seats with various decorations that stand out not only by the various dialogues between aesthetics and functionality found in them, but also for the richness of materials and techniques that were used in their manufacture.
