STUDIO MANAGER

JES is seeking a passionate and talented studio manager to work in our design studio in Mexico City.

The studio manager oversees and directs the work of the studio and also provides support directly to project team members. The role regularly reports to clients on the progress of the projects, providing feedback on the requirements for training, workflows or content.

Core responsibilities of the studio manager role will span from initial project setup and establishing delivery strategies to developing workflows for the project and managing a team of designers.

This position may also include hands-on project work.

Requirements, Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Good negotiating skills

  • Initiative and proactive working methodology

  • Advanced knowledge and experience of 3D software (Rhino, Vray) and Adobe Suit.

  • Experience with large-scale projects and teams

  • Experience with leading and managing a team and providers.

Architect / Sr Designer — (Furniture and Interiors)

We are currently looking for a talented, dynamic, and collaborative Architect / Designer to join our team. Candidates must possess a strong design sensibility, excellent technical skills, and exhibit a strong ability to manage people and deadlines. The candidate must have at least 2 years of proven experience in all phases of the design process: conceptual, detail and design development, construction documents, construction administration and specifications.

Requirements, Skills & Qualifications:

  • Furniture construction knowledge

  • Highly developed skills in client communications, contract documentation, project scheduling, team leadership, building design, technical detailing, consultant coordination, and construction administration

  • Comfortable working independently; demonstrates fluency and professionalism in dealing with a variety of high-end clients as well as vendors

  • Experience in coordinating and assembling detailed and thorough drawing packages from concept through construction administration stages

  • Proficiency Rhino, Vray and Adobe is required

  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

LIMITED EDITIONS MANAGER

JES is looking for a showroom manager to join our team in Mexico City.

Successful candidates will have a design and art background or strong understanding and experience in custom furniture and finishings. Candidates must have experience working in high-end brands.

This role is entrepreneurial in nature and drive and successful candidates will understand and execute on what it takes to thrive in this environment. Qualified candidates will have a background or strong understanding of interior design, scale, and customization.


Responsibilities and duties:

  • Collaborate with senior management to set sales goals and deliverables

  • Provide exceptional service to clients as well as outreach to area designers

  • Deliver presentations, estimates, invoices, and timely follow-up

  • Follow-through from the acquisition of sale, design development, production, to delivery and installation interface with the design and art community

  • Follow market trends and compile data for corporate review.

  • Plan and coordinate market outreach including events, marketing, and promotional opportunities

Qualifications and skills:

  • Sales experience in high-end and to the trade showrooms. A firm understanding of customizable products and general capabilities a strong plus

  • Highly organized, a sales-driven constitution with strong computer skills

  • Experience with the design market drawing or sketching skills preferred

  • Good attitude and the ability to work with a team

  • Ability to interface with designers, architects, and end users interested in learning and career growth

  • Excellent people skills a must

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Detail oriented, a focused planner with high energy

  • Natural desire to be an industry “go to” person with a desire for self-improvement and motivation

  • Professional image and a high level of business expertise
