Design and craftsmanship.
With the aim of bringing together disciplines that naturally dialogue, the Museum of Popular Art (Museo de Arte Popular) organized the Biennial "Arte / sano ÷ artistas 5.0", where a master craftsman added his techniques and experience to the clever creativity of contemporary aesthetics.
In the hands of the master craftsman Napoleón Pérez Pamat, originally from Santa Clara del Cobre, we worked for a discursive synergy, between mastery in the artisan technique and modern and global aesthetics, resulting in Florete, an avant-garde craft.
Florete challenges the boundaries between design and craftsmanship; what is more, it diffuses them, materializing a hybrid that bewilders but at the same time attracts. Duality above all, which is somewhere between an elegant weapon and a harmless floral container. Weapons holding flowers. With carnations it would not be the first time.
